In 1830, in a grand castle in the Cheviot Hills of south-eastern Scotland, a massacre took place, the scope of which was named "utterly inhuman " by those who witnessed the bloody aftermath. That same night, the Lady of the castle vanished within the estate, a maze of her own making.

One month ago a murder and a suicide rocked a fund-raiser ball thrown in the venerated halls of that same ancient castle. Deep within that maze...something awoke.

Today, Dr. Kaelyn Maynard and a variegated group of investigators and documentarians have arrived at the doors of the castle. Hired to discover the truths behind the disturbances that have plagued its halls for the last month, to unravel the mystery of the castle and the fate of its Lady.
